My Reading Habits

Before I Came to Hwa Chong, I liked to read History books and Non-fiction books. I enjoy reading them because I always have an urge to know more about the past and about the technology we have today. Apart from reading books from the library, i would try to borrow books from my friends. The Books that i like to read include Horrible Histories, written by Terry Deary and other Books which tells me a lot of facts about the past and present Technologies and how do Humans construct Buildings and etc. The books on Horrible Histories title are so funny and ‘interesting’. Actually, more of the effects came from the drawings which were drawn by another person… From books which showcase the past and present technologies, i know that creating roads is a difficult task requiring patience and  calculations. We have to First put layers of other materials before laying the cement; or else it will be a disaster as the newly built road will be easily destroyed by the weather. After Graduating to Seconday School, i have lesser time to read books. Hwa Chong has a reading programme from Monday to Wednesday which provides us with reading materials such as magazines etc. For Sec 1s, we are provided with newspapers to read at the reading period in the morning. The newspapers are so interesting thet i will concentrate on reading it until reading period ends. The newspapers also provide us with current affairs happening all over the world. For the future, i wish that we will get to read some magazines such as TIME, Readers’ Digest etc… i have read those magazines in the National Library before and it is very informative and interesting, especially the Readers’ Digest. The Readers’ Digest magazine has many latest news from the world including reporst on significant events in the past and present…

Thank you for your kind attention!
